SIMPLIFYING YOUR LIFE
Moving is hard!
No matter how many times you move during your life, it always adds an incredible amount of stress and tasks onto your already full plate. And, if you’ve lived in your home for 30years or longer, well you’ll have a lot on your hands.
You’ve raised your family in this home. Chances are your children have now moved out into smaller homes so guess who has become the “storage facility” so they can come and shop from or access items in the basement or garage as required?
You’ve probably also been collecting items for when your kids marry and have those adorable grandchildren!
Going through the purging process with your family can be fun or it can be difficult as there are a lot of emotions involved with the whole downsizing, purging and moving process. It may be easier to hire a Professional who can guide you through the steps and be like an “Organizing Coach”.
As a Professional Organizer and Personal Errand service, I will help you book the mover (I have worked with several movers and know and trust them to support my clients), pack up your home after helping you downsize – why pay for all those extra boxes to be moved to your new place?, cancel and reschedule utilities (if needed), supervise the move on the big day and unpack and set up your new home! When you’ve lived in the same place for a long time it’s surprising how difficult is to figure out where to put your items.
Once you’ve settled into your new home, maybe it’s time to do some travelling? I will do regular home checks in alignment with your insurance requirements, water the plants, and go shopping so your fridge is full of your favorites upon your return.

Quick Sell Real Estate Photography
Real estate photography and media are crucial for empty nesters who are about 45 years and older and need to downsize as their kids move out of the family home. For these homeowners, their property represents a significant investment and is an essential component of their retirement plan. As such, they need to showcase their home’s best features to attract potential buyers and maximize their home’s value.
Professional real estate photography can help empty nesters showcase their property in the best possible light. High-quality images can highlight the home’s unique features and allow potential buyers to envision themselves living in the space. This is particularly important for empty nesters who are downsizing, as they may be competing with newer, larger homes that are also on the market. By using professional real estate photography, they can differentiate their property and attract more interested buyers.
In addition to photography, real estate media, such as videos and virtual tours, can also be incredibly beneficial for empty nesters looking to downsize. These tools can provide a more immersive and interactive experience for potential buyers, allowing them to explore the home in detail, even if they are not able to visit in person. This is particularly relevant for buyers who are relocating from another city or state and may not have the opportunity to view the property in person before making an offer. Overall, real estate photography and media can help empty nesters downsize effectively by maximizing their home’s value and attracting a broad range of interested buyers.

Meet Heather Bowie
Mortgage Broker
The mortgage process can be intimidating for homeowners, and some financial institutions don’t make the process any easier.
I’m here to help!
I save you money by sourcing the best products at the best rates – not only on your first mortgage but through every subsequent renewal even while you transition into the empty nester stage.
With a background as both a small business owner and Chartered Professional Accountant my goal is to help people with their mortgage whether they are purchasing their first home, growing their family, finding their forever home or adding rental properties. I love the direct impact of helping clients by providing education to ensure they are confident in their decision resulting in happiness with their home financing!
Specifically I love working with empty nesters to help walk them through the process of accessing the equity in their home as they transition to this next phase of life.
I can assist empty nesters in several ways, including:
Refinancing – I can help empty nesters to refinance their existing mortgages, you might choose to do this while you are still working to qualify for a home equity line of credit (HELOC) and have the ability to self-manage future borrowings against the HELOC, or potentially refinancing results in lower payments feeing up money for other expenses or retirement savings
Downsizing – I can assist empty nesters by working with them as they downsize and sell their current home and find a smaller home. This solution can also free up equity in the current home and reduce monthly mortgage payments allowing greater freedom to empty nesters.
Reverse mortgages – A reverse mortgage is great option that allows homeowners age 55 and older to receive up to 55% of the value of your home in cash with no regular mortgage payments as long as the homeowners continue to live in the home and you retain ownership of the home. I can help explore this option and the costs associate with a reverse mortgage to see if it is the right option for your stage of life.
As a mortgage professional I can provide valuable guidance and advice to empty nesters who are looking to manage their finances, reduce their monthly expenses and plan for a comfortable transition into this next phase of life.
